About the Titleist Vokey SM7 Tour Chrome Wedge
The SM7 is a great model; clean lines, buttery feel, lots of spin. A used sm7 tour chrome wedge kept in good shape is worth its weight in gold. The SM7 is built with essentially 15 years of Bob Vokey's expertise. If you don't know, Bob Vokey is a legend in the golf industry. He started out as a custom set builder in 1976, by 1980 he had earned a reputation as one of the best in the business being a clubmaster for some of the top names in professional golf. He went on to work with TaylorMade, then helped start Founders Club, and in 1996 he joined Titleist. His first project was tuning the specifications on the 975D driver, which would go on to being one of the best drivers produced. After that project finished, the top people at Titleist had a meeting and decided that they really needed to up their wedge game. Bob spoke up and said, "I'll do it." Titleist let him take the lead and the rest is history. Today, Vokey wedges are used by the majority of PGA players and that speaks for itself.
