These clubs are engineered to provide impressive distance, accuracy, and versatility. The latest Ping fairway wood models continue to uphold the brand's reputation for innovation and performance. The G400 models were incredibly successful when they released in 2017, they built upon that success by releasing the G410's in 2019 and the G425's in 2021.  The G430's came out in 2023 and they followed that with the most recent addition, the G430 MAX 10K which was released in January 2024. Generally, each line has released with with three different models catering to different types of players. Here's an overview:

  1. SFT (Straight Flight Technology): The SFT model is designed to help golfers who struggle with a slice or prefer a straighter ball flight. It features a draw-biased design with weight positioned towards the heel to promote a right-to-left ball flight for right-handed golfers (left-to-right for left-handed golfers). This model is ideal for players looking to reduce their tendency to slice the ball and achieve more consistent, straighter shots.

  2. LST (Low Spin Technology): The LST model is engineered to minimize spin for golfers seeking maximum distance and control. It typically has a slightly smaller clubhead profile and a more forward center of gravity (CG) compared to the standard model, resulting in lower spin rates and a penetrating ball flight. This design is favored by players who generate higher clubhead speeds and want to optimize their launch conditions for increased distance off the tee and from the fairway.

  3. Max: The Max model is designed with forgiveness and distance in mind, catering to a wide range of players, including those who prioritize ease of use and consistency. It features a larger clubhead profile with a deep center of gravity (CG) for higher launch and increased forgiveness on off-center hits. The Max model is engineered to provide maximum stability and playability, making it suitable for golfers of all skill levels who seek forgiveness and distance without sacrificing control.
