The golfing community says Memorial Park Golf Course and Driving Range is a great choice in the city but can be expensive if you’re from out of town. Then Gus Wortham Park Golf Course is a name that gets brought up a lot as a solid course to go to. And if you’re willing to drive a little, Cypresswood Golf Club has award-winning layouts and is in Spring, Texas.

We’re starting out with a pretty well-known golf chain, Edwin Watts Golf which has locations all over the country and this one in Houston is located in the Uptown Collection shopping mall. Edwin Watts comes from Worldwide Golf which is one of the biggest businesses in golf retail as they have their own franchise(s) in multiple states in the South and Southeast parts of the country. 

At this Edwin Watts Golf store you’ll be able to utilize their Full Service Club Repair, Indoor Putting Green, Golf Simulators, Launch Monitor Club Fitting Technology, Golf Club Rentals, and on equipment on the floor from clubs to apparel. They are open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday 11:00am to 6:00pm.

Clayton Worley, the owner behind Worley’s Golf Shop has had over ten years of experience teaching golf and is a PGA Golf Professional. He wanted to create a shop that offers golfers both new and old a place to kick back and relax as they get their needs met; whether it’s getting their clubs repaired or you need to buy a new set, they’ve got you covered. 

Worley’s is located in the Klein Church Plaza in Spring, Texas so it’s a little ways outside Houston proper but might be worth the drive as they have a selection of used clubs along with hats, gloves, balls, and bags. And if you’re looking to sell your clubs, Worley’s does buy so you can come in with old clubs and leave with new ones on the same day. They also have their hands in many different pots as they do sell online, on eBay, and on Amazon as well, but it seems from reviews that their online services aren’t always reliable so it might be better to go in person. Worley’s is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am to 5:30pm, and is closed on Sundays.

We’re not going back to Houston proper for this golf shop, no we’re actually headed to League City near Nassau Bay to pay a visit to Golf Swing Solutions. This small business had a pretty impressive collection of new and used golf clubs. You’ll be able to find men’s adult clubs, women's, left-handed, and junior clubs along with hats, bags, and other apparel options to make your golf game both look and feel better. 

But that’s not all they offer, at Golf Swing Solutions they have equipment testing, golf lessons, club fitting and repairs, along with “home exercise programs from elevated PT.” Hector, the owner and golf pro, will help you with any question you might have about your game. They are open Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am to 2:00pm, and are closed on Sundays.

Golfers will know of and maybe have even been to a Golf Galaxy before, this famed chain has locations all over the country including this one in Houston in the Plaza on Richmond. They have pretty much everything you could need for a round of golf including golf clubs, golf apparel, shoes, balls, bags, and tech to help your game.

They also offer the TrackMan, Golf Lessons, Custom Club Fittings, Full-Service Club Repair, Simulator Rental(s), the Trade-In Program, and the Pre-Owned Club Program where you can find your used golf clubs. 

The reviews are pretty “mid” overall for this Golf Galaxy location, so you’ll have to be your own judge on this one. They are open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 7:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 6:00pm.
