UNDISPUTABLE – Here are the Best Drivers by Handicap
Posted by Colin Streets on Aug 04, 2025
We’re breaking down the best drivers for your handicap so you don’t have to!
Imagine watching Scottie Scheffler on your TV and wondering: “what kind of driver does he use?” or “I want a driver like the one he’s using!” Well, good news my friend, you can start your race to look like some of the best in the world, but instead of having the exact same make and model, your head and shaft will be changed to your ability and swing rather than Scheffler’s. But we need to know the best drivers by handicap, so we can begin our journey to get to the likes of Scottie, Rory, and Xander. We know that:
High handicap means more power, less precision.
Low handicap means less power, more precision.
And after speaking to one hundred of the greatest minds in all of golf1, and polling 100,000 weekend warriors1, StickHawk has come up with an INDISPUTABLE list of the BEST drivers for your handicap.
But why are we the ones qualified to give you all of this vital information for your game? Well if you haven’t heard of us yet then let us have the pleasure of introducing you to what we do best:
Our story is a simple one, what started out as a side-venture in the highs and lows of selling shoes on eBay, has turned into a business with over 20 full-time employees, a big warehouse, and all the golf clubs to fill it. At StickHawk we sell authentic drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, wedges, putters, complete sets, and all the golf accessories you could ever need so that you can play today! We want to match you with the golf club(s) of your dreams. You can take our “Club Decider Quiz,” which is near the bottom of our home page, and it will help you decide the exact right make and models you need to feel good while you’re on the course. |
Now that we have the introductions out of the way, let’s get into why you came here: finding the best drivers by handicap, starting first with…
>=+1:
We’re talking to the rocket launchers, the dart throwers, the needle threaders, the borderline pros, and, unfortunately, probably not you…yet ?. But for those who are on another level of golf, the gods amongst us mere mortals, the best driver for you is the Srixon ZXi LS.
Our used Srixon ZXi LS Driver is for the best of the best, and we won’t argue with anyone about it!
This is the Srixon ZXi LS Driver 9* Fujikura Ventus Blue 5-S Stiff Graphite Mens RH HC was $559.98, but now is $427.99. It has only been hit a couple of times so we consider it mint condition, there is also barely any markings as you can see in the picture. Here are the specs:
- Men's Right-Handed
- Loft: 9 Degrees (Adjustable - Adjustment Tool NOT Included)
- Club Length at address: 45.50"
- Shaft Flex: Stiff
- Shaft Material: Graphite
- Shaft Brand: Fujikura
- Shaft Model: Ventus Blue 5-S
- Lamkin UTX Standard Grip in Good condition
- Headcover included
Overall Condition: Used (Mint)
When you consider that the latest in golf technology turns basically the entire clubface into a sweet spot, the Srixon ZXi LS says, nah. Bigger sweet spot means less control, and the ZXi LS is about maximum control. If you can shoot the hairs off a fly’s booty at 20 paces, maybe this club is for you.
However for the rest of us, let’s move on to the next one…
0-5:
This is rarified air territory, and this person needs a club that matches their surroundings. The Titleist GT2 fits the bill. We have a few Titleist GT2s in stock which you can view on our store page, but here’s one we’ll highlight for you now:
We’ve got over ten models of Titleist GT2- which means you’re in for something special.
Here we have the Titleist GT2 Driver 11* Tensei 1K Blue Xlink Tech 55g Regular RH HC which was $689.99, but is now $526.79. This club is pre-owned, has been hit with, and has marks on it from normal use, but is overall in good condition. Here are the specs:
- Men's Right-Handed
- Loft: 11 Degrees (Adjustable - Adjustment Tool NOT Included)
- Club Length at address: 45.75"
- Shaft Flex: Regular
- Shaft Material: Graphite
- Shaft Brand: Mitsubishi Chemical
- Shaft Model: Tensei 1K Blue Xlink Tech
- Shaft Weight: 55g
- Golf Pride Tour Velvet Align Standard Grip in Good condition
- Headcover included
Overall Condition: Used - Grade: 8 (Good Quality)
This driver has the classic look and feel that’s commonplace with Titleist golf clubs, but there’s something new about this GT line. Titleist seems to be leaning into making their clubs more forgiving, which is great for people that want to be seen using Titleist, but didn’t have the requisite ball striking capabilities. Now we can all look like tour pros while hitting like them too ?.
5-10:
We’re next talking to the person that carries the group on corporate golf tournament scrambles. When you tell them how good they are, they typically respond with humility. Maybe they are humble, but we think they only get this way from being humbled playing with plus handicaps. If you think working the ball is neat rather than necessary and if you are perfectly content with straight shot fairway finders, the best driver is the Ping G430 MAX.
Just like the Titleist GT2, we’ve got more than just one Ping G430 MAX’s on our store page, but here is an example of what we’re looking for:
Carry your team home with a Ping G430 MAX.
This is the Ping G430 Max Driver 12* Alta CB 55g Stiff Graphite Mens RH which was $416.99 and is now $326.99. This club is pre-owned, has been hit with, and has marks on it from normal use, but is overall in good condition. Here are the specs:
- Men's Right-Handed
- Loft: 12 Degrees (Adjustable - Adjustment Tool NOT Included)
- Club Length at address: 45.75"
- Shaft Flex: Stiff
- Shaft Material: Graphite
- Shaft Brand: Ping
- Shaft Model: Alta CB
- Shaft Weight: 55g
- Golf Pride MCC Plus 4 Standard Grip in Good condition
- Headcover not included
Overall Condition: Used - Grade: 8 (Good Quality)
This club is the embodiment of distance and forgiveness. Use this driver and never lose a ball again2.
10-18:

The quantum leap that is artificial intelligence is going to solve whatever malady you endure. If artificial intelligence, which utilizes the whole of human intelligence, created a club that didn’t solve your problems, is your problem even solvable? Hook—ai. Slice—ai. OB—ai. Too short—ai. Too low—ai. You get the idea, you got a problem: —ai,.
25+:
There is no shame in owning a 25+ handicap. Do you have any idea how much sway you have in tournaments that use gross scores? Somebody else has the round of their life and shoots even, all you have to do is hit a 96 for the win! You can do it, we believe in you. At this stage it’s probably not worth investing the big bucks on a driver. If you’re new, you’ll want a different driver once you get a little better, and if you don’t spend much time working on your game, why bother with a $400 driver that will only get used a few times a year? We suggest getting a driver that was well ahead of its time when it came out and it’ll cost you less than half of what these newer drivers do. The TaylorMade M2 is a beauty.
Just as we’ve been saying, there are quite a few TaylorMade M2’s on our store page, and here’s one to look at:
Save money and hit with the TaylorMade M2!
And here we have the TaylorMade M2 2017 3 Fairway Wood 15* M2 REAX 55g Regular Graphite Mens RH which was $129.99 and is now $103.99. This club is pre-owned, has been hit with, and has marks on it from normal use. The face and head show wear, and there are ball scrapes/sky marks on the top, but overall is in good condition. Here are the specs:
- Men's Right-Handed
- Loft: 15 Degrees (3 Wood)
- Club Length at address: 43.00"
- Shaft Flex: Regular
- Shaft Material: Graphite
- Shaft Brand: TaylorMade
- Shaft Model: M2 REAX
- Shaft Weight: 55g
- Stock TaylorMade Standard Grip in Good condition
- Headcover not included
Overall Condition: Used - Grade: 8 (Good Quality)

2StickHawk is not liable for lost balls. Also, Ping was not consulted on the lost ball statement and therefore, does not endorse.
