The Titleist Vokey SM7 Brushed Steel Wedge features a newly redesigned "Progressive Center of Gravity" (CG) technology. It varies the CG position in each wedge to optimize performance for different lofts and shot types. Lower lofted wedges have a lower CG for better distance and control on full shots, while higher lofted wedges have a higher CG to enhance spin and control on shorter shots around the green. The spin milled grooves are also different depending on the loft of the wedge. Lower lofts have narrower, deeper grooves while higher lofts have wider grooves. This gapping makes the spin more consistent across the wedges and allows for maximum control.
