There’s something special about finding brick and mortar golf shops in today’s age, especially when it’s one that has a pretty solid standing amongst its small fan club. Carolina Golf Manufacturing is a little ways down from Charlotte Country Club in the cutest little shopping plaza you’ll ever see. 

They do just about everything here including regripping services that are unmatched, fittings, club adjustments, repairs, and of course selling both new and used golf clubs. According to their website they “offer competitive prices for your used clubs” which is great to hear as some places really like to mark-up their inventory. They also say they offer clubs for all skill levels and look forward to working with you to find what you need. Carolina Golf Manufacturing is open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 1:00pm, and is closed on Sunday.

We’re now taking a look at a store that’s quite possibly the biggest golf store near Charlotte which is Greater Golf Express at The Centrum in between Home Depot and Lula Bánh Mì and Bakery. You’ll see very quickly just how much stuff they’ve got for you to look at on their store floor, from golf clubs both new and used, shirts, other apparel options, golf bags, balls, shoes, and more.

They have their own Custom Shop if you’re looking to make yours or a club you buy shine with your style, but we are here for their used clubs and they have a pretty decent Pre-Owned section both in-store and online which is nice to see especially since used clubs can get the short end of the stick a lot of the time when you go to a golf store this big.

Reviews aren’t as poppin’ as the previous store, but still above average so you’ll just have to go and see what they are like for yourselves. Greater Golf Express is open Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday 11:00am to 6:00pm.

Play It Again Sports is the place to go to for any second-hand or used sporting equipment. You’ve got a lot of options here including a pretty solid inventory of golf clubs, bags, balls, and other such items.

Located in the Countryside Shopping Center near McMullen Creek and Lowe’s is where you’ll find this location with just above average reviews. If you want to trade, they offer trade-in’s at all operating hours which are Monday through Friday 10:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 8:00pm, and Sunday 11:00pm to 6:00pm.

Next up we’re taking a look at a chain a lot of you Southerners know: Edwin Watts. Edwin Watts comes from Worldwide Golf which is one of the biggest businesses in golf retail as they have their own franchise(s) all over the country. 

This Edwin Watts which has a perfect 5/5 stars (though to be fair with only a handful of reviews), and is located just down the street from Play It Again Sports Charlotte/Pineville. It just had its grand opening in May of this year so it’s still got that new golf store smell to it. 

At the store you’ll be able to utilize their Full Service Club Repair, Indoor Putting Green, Golf Simulators, Launch Monitor Club Fitting Technology, and inventory on the floor like new and used clubs, apparel, and tech to help you hit. They are open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm.

We typically don’t like to explore too far out of our highlighted cities when we make our guides but we’re making an exception for this one because Carolina Golf Mart & Practice is worth the drive, especially if you’re looking to test your mettle as well as shop through a pretty great selection of used golf clubs. Located in Salisbury in Rowan County you’ll find this shop that doubles as a practicing center and driving range.

They have golf balls, bags, shoes, tech, and golf clubs for you to look through before you make your way onto the course proper. Carolina Golf Mart & Practice is currently open for their “Fall Hours” which are Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 8:00pm and Sunday 12:00pm to 8:00pm.

One of the best spots in the area to get some solid practice in.”
