Ben Hogan was one of the best ball strikers to play the game, so of course when opportunity to manufacture his own clubs came up, he jumped on it. The company had initial success but the clubs tailored to good golfers so it cut out a lot of the market. The company has changed ownership 11 times since inception in 1953, and in 2022 filed for its third and final bankruptcy. They never really achieved sustainability but some of the older sets are as pure as they are beautiful if you can find them in good condition.
