Used Golf Clubs in Boston: Best Places to Find Them
Posted by Shayla Burke on Mar 11, 2026
We’re here to help you find the equipment you need for your next time on the tee in The Hub!
Boston Teens Denise "Zazu" McDenna and Pat "Sully" Sullivan know how wicked smaht the city is but if you haven’t been or are stopping by for the first time let us introduce you to the Hub. Boston, Massachusetts is famous for a lot of reasons, you’ve got the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the Freedom Trail, Boston Common, and so much more.
But what's golf like in this fair city?
Technically there’s only two courses in the actual city of Boston, but if you venture within twenty miles of the city there are so many to choose from. The two in the city proper are the George Wright Golf Course and The William J. Devine Golf Course. A little ways outside the city is Granite Links which is a bit “funky” but has the best views of the city. We can’t explore these courses without the right equipment and that means venturing out to find the best places for used golf clubs in Boston, so let’s take a look and get started.

Our story is a simple one, what started out as a side-venture in the highs and lows of selling shoes on eBay, has now turned around to be a business with 20 full-time employees, a 15,000 square foot warehouse, and relationships with private golf courses all over the U.S. At StickHawk you can make your putting dreams come true as we sell quality drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, iron sets, single irons, wedges, putters, complete club sets for those who need the basics to play today, and accessories. We want to match you with the golf club(s) of your dreams. You can take our “Club Decider Quiz,” which is clickable on the bottom right hand side of our website, and it will help you decide the exact right make and models you need to feel good while you’re on the course. |

Every golfer knows how important the putter is for the game, it’s arguably the most used club which means finding the right one is essential. Through StickHawk you’ll be able to refine your search by Brand, Model, Condition, Dexterity, Head Shape, Club Length, Grip Size, and Headcover(s). This makes finding your next perfect putter easier than ever.
One aspect, amongst many, that makes us stand out from the crowd is our fast and reliable shipping. There’s no need to worry about finding the right club and then not getting it in time to go on the greens. We want you to get out and play just as much as you do, that’s why we offer free shipping on all domestic orders, (unless you choose expedited shipping at checkout). Nothing says better golf like better savings!

Joe & Leigh’s Discount Golf Pro Shop has created their own signature phrase: "Make a Friend, Not a Sale! ™", and they have taken that to heart ever since they started their business years ago- (they even had it trademarked, that’s how much they believe in it).
When it comes to the game of golf and golf shops, a lot of them want to make as much money as possible, but at Joe & Leigh’s they want you to do what golf should really be about: getting the ball in the hole. They look at how you swing and find clubs no matter the cost that fit you right.
With over 8,000 square-feet of space to work on, the golf shop has a great inventory of both new and used clubs, balls, bags, accessories, apparel, and more. They even have their own 9-hole-course attached right next to their homebase so that means as soon as you find your clubs you can go right to the greens. Services also include custom club fittings and trade-in programs. Located in South Easton, Joe & Leigh’s Golf Pro Shop is open everyday of the week from 8:00am to 8:00pm.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Google Review from Dana B. of Joe & Leigh’s Golf Pro Shop: “Joe & Leigh's is simply a GREAT golf shop. An unparalleled selection of NEW clubs and accessories and a GREAT selection of used clubs. I have bought from them many times. Great selection of discounted golf clothes for men and women. If you haven't been., make the trip. It's WELL worth it!” |

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Google Review from Cameron of Joe & Leigh’s Golf Pro Shop: “Went in looking for a fairly new but used set of clubs. They were fully stocked with a great variety to choose from. This is the place to go for ANY of your golfing needs. Staff are cool, prices are on point, thank you Joe and Leigh’s.” |

⭐⭐⭐⭐Google Review from James Z. of Joe & Leigh’s Golf Pro Shop: “Wanted to say that I was very happy with my clubs. I had them lengthened in the LIE adjusted long with new grips. 13 clubs in total. Price was reasonable. I had mentioned before in my previous review that I would post after I got them. The only thing I have to say that it was kind of Bing bang boom here's your clubs. Maybe it's me but I thought somebody was going to watch me take a swing before and after maybe a little help with how and why they shut the grips up the way they did. All in all though it's a great place to get your clubs done with an excellent inventory of Merch” |

New Englander’s will probably recognize these next spots as they are famous in the area for being a one-stop golf shop. That’s right we’re talking about none other than Goler’s Warehouse. Golfer’s Warehouse is the “it” girl in Massachusetts as well as two other locations in Rhode Island and Connecticut respectively. From Worldwide Golf, one of the biggest businesses in golf retail, comes this small chain that has been around since the 80’s.
We are talking about their Braintree location near Sunset Lake and the Braintree Municipal Golf Course. Here you will be able to experience their Full Service Club Repair, Indoor Putting Green, Launch Monitor Club Fitting Technology, Golf Club Simulators, and on the floor sales of both new and used golf equipment- (though their used equipment might be a bit lacking). This Golfer’s Warehouse is open Monday through Friday 10:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm.

I feel very confident in their knowledge to fit me with the golf equipment that is right for me. They are tireless in ensuring that you are properly fitted and are making the right purchase. What is even better they have. 90 day policy on purchases for credit for a new club. How great is that. I will not buy my golf equipment anywhere else. Tommy has been fantastic to work with providing me the right equipment and help with my swing. Friendly comfortable no pressure golfers is the best for me” |

⭐⭐⭐⭐Google Review from Arjun of Golfer’s Warehouse - Braintree: “Fantastic range of items. Second hand clubs is a hit and miss so go there frequently to check what is available. Simulators and friendly staff available which is great. Surprised to see apparel sold at a higher cost than the PGA store down the road.” |
Play It Again Sports Stoneham

For those who like to thrift you probably recognize the names: Plato’s Closet, Once Upon a Child, Style Encore, and Music Go Around which are all a part of the same franchise of famous resale shops. Well also included in that repertoire is Play It Again Sports which is their shop that sells all things sporting equipment. You’ll find a pretty decent supply of golf clubs, bags, and more here. Though inventory varies so you may have better luck in a few months if things are looking a little bare at the moment.
Plus if you have your own old sporting equipment you are ready to part with or are looking to trade with then you can do it here at any time in the store, as long as they’re open, you can trade and maybe save some money on a set of clubs. Play It Again Sports is locally owned and operated and is open Monday through Friday 10:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 5:30pm, and Sunday 11:00am to 5:00pm.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Google Review from John D. of Play It Again Sports - Stoneham: “This is a great place to buy sports equipment. In addition to the gently used equipment they also have brand new equipment and they have the best prices around.” |
|
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Google Review from Elena S. of Play It Again Sports - Stoneham: “We love this place! The team members who work there are great; they always give good advice and give us several options to choose from. They are patient and attentive to their customers. You can choose new or used equipment and sports gear/ items. We also use the “trade in” option when you bring your kids used items (should be clean and in good condition) and they give you a store credit which you can apply towards the same day purchase (same day transaction only). We LOVE this store! This is the place to go for us for baseball equipment, soccer and baseball cleats, ski equipment every winter season (as kids grow fast!). Your loyal customer:-)” |
|
⭐⭐⭐Google Review from Jared P. of Play It Again Sports - Stoneham: “Worth checking out if you have kids playing hockey or baseball. They have a lot of inventory for those sports. Selling any gear that is of high quality is not worth it. They will offer you pennies on the dollar. The snowboarding equipment was sparse and of poor quality and over priced. Ski stuff was the same. Not really anything for me but good for typical sports gear mentioned above, anything else, go to a specialty retailer.” |
Although the number of brick and mortar golf shops selling used golf clubs in Boston is low, you can always try your luck out there but if your bag comes up empty you know where to go: StickHawk.
