We love taking a look at small businesses as we make our way through the country looking for places that sell used golf clubs and David Ayres’ Lowcountry Custom Golf is one said small business we are happy to take a look at. 

With over thirty years of experience, David Ayres and his team has crafted not just a store where you can shop the latest clubs, gloves, balls, bags, apparel, and tech, as well as plenty of used clubs of every type, but they also make sure you’re going to be swinging what feels right. A part of Charleston’s Top 100 Club Fitter(s), they will set you up with what you need as well as give lessons to both adults (and kids). 

They even provide rental services too so if you’re only in the area for a little while but want to go out to the greens, this ain’t a bad place to look. The Lowcountry Custom Golf Shop has a little bit of everything and is worth stopping by. They are open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 3:00pm, and are closed on Sunday.

At this specific Edwin Watts Golf store you’ll be able to utilize their Full Service Club Repair, Indoor Putting Green, Golf Simulators, Launch Monitor Club Fitting Technology, and on equipment on the floor from new and used clubs to apparel and tech to help you hit. They are open Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday 11:00am to 5:00pm.

Was told, “Maybe.” It was a complete waste of time and perhaps the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I’ll take my money ($3,000)…and more importantly…my time, to another local golf shop in the area.”

No appointment necessary to trade, you can come in at any time during business hours to trade and buy. This location keeps things fresh too as they are updating their social media with their latest finds so you can see if there’s new golf clubs on the roster first. Maybe a weekend afternoon is not the best time to go since they were obviously tapped out of customer service to give.”
