If you live or find yourself in the South and Southeast parts of the country often and know anything about golf then there’s a good chance you are familiar with Edwin Watts. Edwin Watts comes from Worldwide Golf which is one of the biggest businesses in golf retail as they have their own franchise(s) all over the U.S. Here we are talking about the Edwin Watts Golf that’s located in Kenner a little ways west from our favorite park: Lafreniere. 

At this specific store you’ll be able to utilize their Full Service Club Repair, Indoor Putting Green, Golf Simulators, Launch Monitor Club Fitting Technology, Golf Club Rentals and find equipment on the floor from new and used clubs, to apparel, and technology to help improve your game. They are open Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm and Sunday 12:00am to 5:00pm.

Edwin Watts Golf also has a second location, but it is way out in Baton Rouge so if you can’t find what you need at the Kenner spot and are willing to drive a bit then you should check them out or call ahead to see what stuff they have in stock.

Just like Edwin Watts is popular with golfers, DICK’S Sporting Goods is popular with, well, pretty much anyone that likes any sport ever. It is by far the most popular sporting goods retailer out there and it definitely has its fair share of golf equipment. 

When you’re looking for anything in the sports category, checking to see if a DICK’S is near you just makes sense and there are two locations in the New Orleans area, with one being in the Oakwood Center, and this one which is in Metairie at the Lakewood Shopping Center.

Though there may not be a huge selection of used clubs compared to their newer out-of-the-box models, there is still some to look at. They also offer fitting, tuning, regripping, and repair services. Plus, according to their website, fittings are free with a club purchase. DICK’S Sporting Goods in Metairie is open Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 9:00pm and Sunday 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Although unfortunately they don’t have one in New Orleans, you can still order clubs from their website and get it delivered to you in the city.
