It’s always nice to highlight independent small-businesses through these guides because it seems like they are harder and harder to find these days. You’ll see a lot of chains but not a lot of independent brands. And that’s exactly the case with Unique Golf Shop in West Islip a little ways down from Southward Ho Country Club. In 2025 they were “Long Islanders Voted Unique Golf Shop Best Golf Store!” and was a 2024 Callaway Top 100 Club Fitter.

They’ve been in the area for over thirty years now providing golfers with both new and used golf clubs. They also have two of their own “Foresight Simulators with the GC Hawk and the new Falcon overhead units” which you can rent for yourselves. They do custom repairs, golf lessons, and fittings as well. Unique Golf is open Monday through Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm, Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm.

We’ve written a lot of these guides on finding used golf clubs from all over the country and we have yet to find a smaller business than this one. With only 15 reviews to their name on Google we found Sportiva Golf Outlet NYC located in Queens not too far away from Central Park. 

They specialize in buying used brand-named golf clubs (for cash) and reselling them to prospective golfers. They have a huge selection of clubs including some for lefties which if you’re a leftie, you know they can be hard to come by especially if you’re looking for used clubs. Sportvia Golf Outlet NYC is open 11:00am to 7:00pm every single day of the week.

Good to Note: Sportvia changes their selection of products over from golf equipment to ski equipment when winter rolls around, so depending on when you’re shopping you might need to look somewhere else.

It wouldn’t be New York if we didn’t continue the trend of small businesses, so let us next introduce you to Yorkville Golf located in an actual hardware store on 87th & 1st in Manhattan. It’s a small shop so their selection isn’t grand by any means but it’s definitely worth the visit because from the limited reviews they have so far they seem to be doing something right.

Buying, trading, and selling used golf equipment from the community, Yorkville doesn’t just have things for you to buy, no they have talented hands behind the scenes that will repair your clubs and offer custom club work as well. Yorkville golf is open Monday through Saturday 8:00am to 6:30pm and Sunday 10:00am to 6:30pm.

You gotta love those neighborhood mom and pop golf shops, the ones that have been around for years and years now that seem to have just about everything you could need for the game; that’s Golf Town in Queens off Northern Blvd across the street from White Castle and Bell Bay Florist.

Charlie, the owner carries all major name brands you know and love as well as premium Japanese brands which you may not be as familiar with but should try out. Along with their clubs, balls, bags, apparel, and accessories on the shop floor, Golf Town offers golf repairs, regrip services, free club fitting analysis, and has an indoor simulator for you to test your mettle. They are open Monday through Saturday 10:00am to 8:00pm and 11:00am to 6:30pm on Sunday.

If you’re looking for a place to search through not just a few but a lot of used golf clubs then look no further than the ACTYVE GOLF WAREHOUSE in Uniondale which is right down the street from the Eisenhower Golf Short Game Practice Area in Eisenhower Park. Like the name suggests, they have a warehouse full of all types of used clubs and are always looking for new finds so if you yourself have old clubs you want to part with they are looking to buy for cash or trade-in. Name-brand clubs and lots of inventory, you’ll be able to go to the ACTYVE GOLF WAREHOUSE Monday through Friday 11:00am to 6:00pm and on the weekend 11:00am to 5:00pm.
