Golfers up north near North Park and Wildwood Golf Center will know the name Pine Creek Golf Center because they have become quite the city staple over the years. In the Allison Park borough, you’ll find this business is actually a three-in-one; it’s a driving-range, mini-golf, and pro-shop. It has just about anything you could want including their fair share of golfing equipment both new and used.

Since they are also a driving range you are able to demo clubs so you know for sure how your swing matches up with the club itself. Also available are custom fitting services and a junior club program from professionals that have been in the game for a long time. Pine Creek Golf Center is open everyday from 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Would recommend avoiding and going to ranges that actually value customers and invest in their facility. Really a shame given the great location.”

Seasoned golfers will know the name Golf Galaxy, which is its own chain brand of golf stores with locations all over the country including one in Pittsburgh, more specifically in Robinson Township at Robinson Court. Within the store itself you’ll be able to pursue through a wide selection of new golf clubs, a smaller display of pre-owned clubs, apparel, shoes, balls, bags, technology devices to help improve your game, and more. 

Also available at Golf Galaxy is their Fitting Sessions with their team, Lesson Packages, Full-Service Club Repairs, and Simulator Rentals where you can practice your swings on various courses. But like most chains, there’s going to be some hits and misses service-wise so be on the lookout for that should you decide to go for your search for clubs.

This Golf Galaxy location is open Monday through Saturday 9:00am to 7:00pm and Sunday 10:00am to 5:00pm.

This cost over $100 and all they had me do was hit some balls into a simulator screen with the 'latest and greatest' irons and drivers and then went on to try and push a $1500 set of clubs on me because that's "what I hit the best." It was a total joke and waste of time/money. This is just my opinion but I was definitely expecting a lot more out of the fitting. I then asked for my grips to be fitted and they told me "just use what feels best for you.”

Although there aren’t many mom-and-pop shops for used golf clubs in Pittsburgh, you have a few places at your disposal including some top-notch suppliers like StickHawk online.
