ParWest Golf is a locally owned and operated golf shop in Portland just a few blocks away from Columbia River and Luuwit View Park. They are all about creating experiences to be remembered from the moment you step into the shop. 

They care about the game and that’s reflected in their team and store floor as they have a great selection of new and used golf clubs, bags, balls, golf caddy/carts, club drips, shafts, gloves, shoes, tees, hats, headcovers, and ParWest exclusive merchandise. And if you can’t get enough of their inventory and want to see what else they have to offer then you’ll be happy to know that they have Golf Club Fittings and Repairs all in shop so you can spend the whole day doing what you love: talking and buying golf. ParWest Golf is open Monday through Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm and is closed on Sundays.

If you’re a local or a someone from out of town, they treat you with respect and provide you with high quality service. They don’t try to “sell” you clubs and/or products. They listen, first. Then they’ll let you know if it’s in stock, and in the meantime, show you similar products, so you can compare. I did a fitting, and I didn’t feel rushed. They gave me pricing on multiple sets, and when I asked for opinions or suggestions, they didn’t hesitate to provide answers. Lastly, they rush delivered my whole set (I ended up getting an irons set, driver, and hybrid). As long as they are in business, they’ll have me as a forever customer.”

Even if you think you know where to go for golf equipment in Portland you might be unfamiliar with this small business just out in Salem at the M&S Sales Flea Market. It’s Hit It Again Golf owned by a retired US Navy veteran, a member of the United States Golf Teachers Association, and Oregon Golf Association: Billy. 

Billy is now spreading his love of golf to all those who are in need of clubs, bags, balls, and more. What’s unique about Hit It Again is their inventory is constantly changing, that means you can come by one week see they have x and y at the shop, then come back the next week and see a whole new rack of stuff! This hidden gem is definitely worth the look next time you’re headed out near Salem. Hit It Again Golf is only open three days a week: Friday 11:00am to 4:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday 9:00am to 6:00pm so you gotta go out during the weekend if you want to see what Billy has in stock.

Finally we are taking a look at Golf Galaxy, a well known golf retail chain that has locations all over the country including one in Portland that’s right on the Columbia River. Of course, like most chain stores, there are “better” and “worse” stores, and it seems like this one is in the “mid-range” as reviews are lower than average. But ultimately you’ve got to judge it for yourself and see should you decide to go. 

Golf Galaxy has a big inventory of golfing equipment as well as offering select services like access to a TrackMan, Golf Lessons, Custom Club Fittings, Full-Service Club Repair, Simulator Rental(s), the Trade-In Program, and the Pre-Owned Club Program where you can find your used golf clubs. This Golf Galaxy is open Monday through Friday 9:00am to 8:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 7:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am to 6:00pm.
